- Inspired by major clients and their own values, TPS’s ESG journey began over 20 years ago
- TPS evolved their strategic focus from well-defined policies to include a commitment to achieving measurable reductions in its organizational carbon footprint in 2025
- Their sustainability achievements have led to long-term relationships with Fortune 500 customers, as well as significant brand visibility & credibility when customers publicly highlight their commitment

Raising the bar: EcoVadis Silver recognition
In 2023, TPS was recognized with a EcoVadis Silver rating. EcoVadis provides sustainability ratings for over 150,000 companies globally, assessing them on environmental, social, and ethical performance. At that time, companies ranking within the top 25% were awarded an EcoVadis Silver rating. Today, EcoVadis now only recognizes companies ranking within the top 15% of all companies rated with their Silver badge – and in September of 2025, TPS successfully held its Silver rating.
From TPS’s CEO Aaron Moscoe, “To go from the top 25% to top 15%, particularly in an environment where many companies are upping their game and more companies are focused on sustainability, is a huge accomplishment we are proud of. Carbonhound played a key role in our ability to increase our ranking, and will continue to play a very important role in helping us measure our progress towards carbon neutrality going forward.”
Growing & Supporting Their Fortune 500 Customers Where Sustainability is Not Optional
TPS is a trusted provider of products for some of the world’s largest and most impactful companies, including Nestlé, Toyota, Starbucks, Bayer, CGI, BASF, and more. Being part of these sophisticated supply chains is at the heart of TPS’s business, and being their preferred supplier takes more than quality products and top-tier customer service.
Commitment and action to ESG continues to be a key requirement for suppliers of leading Canadian companies as well Fortune 500 companies.
“Certain customers require us to demonstrate meaningful steps to reduce our carbon footprint, and others require us to provide measurable results.”
-Aaron Moscoe, CEO at TPS Promotions and Incentives
Having credible, automated, and third-party review carbon emissions data helps TPS feel confident in their reporting and maintain positive relationships with some of their clients.
Leveraging Climate Data to Drive Cost Savings, Business Efficiency, and Long-term Sustainability
When asked if measuring their emissions led to any operational changes to make business more efficient or less costly, Aaron mentioned, “As the saying goes, that which can be measured can be improved. Measuring our carbon emissions has provided TPS with the ability to set goals and implement actionable solutions.”
In most cases, taking action to reduce emissions also reduces cost for a business. For an example from Aaron, “Last month we installed dock seals at our shipping doors to reduce the amount of heat escaping during these cold winter months, which will have an immediate impact reducing both costs and emissions.”
Capital planning and project management are also made easier with historical data about the usage and cost of different business expenses. Through monthly and annual tracking of their emissions, TPS also gets a detailed look at their spend and usages across business functions.
From monthly utilities usage to supplier spend and shipping costs, the insights provided by Carbonhound will help TPS with decision making around installing solar panels or other capital expenditures.
Looking Ahead: Climate Credibility & Leadership
TPS is already a leader in the promotional products space when it comes to ESG. Some of their commitments and achievements include:
- Being a signatory to the UN Global Compact
- Providing UPS® Certified Carbon Neutral Shipping services
Committing to Carbon Neutrality by 2040 - Implementing Sedex SMETA 4-Pillar Audits to audit their supplier facilities
- Using shipping cartons made from 100% recycled fibres
Looking ahead, TPS is continuing to deliver serious results aligning with the commitments they have made to reducing their carbon footprint. They strive to add credibility to their statements & values around sustainability, and use data to back it up. Implementing the most impactful reduction strategies based on real data is the next step on their journey, while of course supporting their customers’ commitments to reducing their carbon footprints, too!
