What is the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi)?
SBTi is a collaboration between the CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute and the World Wide Fund for Nature that helps validate ambitious greenhouse gas emissions reductions targets in line with climate science. Their goal is to empower companies to halve their emissions before 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions before 2050. The SBTi also independently assesses and approves companies’ science-based targets.
